Snohomish County Fire District 7 responded to 166 calls the week of Jan. 1-7. The district serves the city of Mill Creek and the neighborhoods of Cathcart, Clearview, Thrashers Corner, Maltby, Echo Lake, Gold Creek, The Falls, Turners Corner and North Creek.
Jan. 1
Crews responded to 16 calls, including 11 medical aid, two mutual aid, one illegal burn, one fire alarm and one service call.
Jan. 2
Crews responded to 20 calls, including 11 medical aid, three fire alarms, two odor investigations, one auto accident, one downed power line, one service call and one mutual aid.
At 6:31 p.m. firefighters responded to the 4800 block of 244th St. SE for downed power lines into a house. Firefighters evacuated the house and checked for injuries.
Jan. 3
Crews responded to 19 calls, including 12 medical aid, five mutual aid, one fire and one auto accident.
Jan. 4
Crews responded to 16 calls, including 12 medical aid, two fire alarms, one illegal burn and one mutual aid.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 24200 block of 85th Ave. SE at 1:59 p.m. for an illegal burn. Firefighters informed the homeowners of the burning regulations in Fire District 7 and had them extinguish the fire.
Jan. 5
Crews responded to 19 calls, including 14 medical aid, two mutual aids, one fire, one auto accident and one fire alarm.
At 11:09 p.m. firefighters responded to the 18600 block of Broadway Ave. for a chimney fire. Firefighters ensured the fire was extinguished and recommended the homeowners have the chimney professionally inspected before further use.
Jan. 6
Crews responded to 62 calls, including 15 downed power lines, 14 medical aid, five auto accidents, five service calls, four downed trees, three trees into houses, three fires, two fire alarms and one odor investigation.
Firefighters responded to the 17400 block of 87th Ave. SE at 1:45 a.m. where four trees fell into a house. Firefighters checked for injuries and secured power to the house.
At 8:19 a.m. firefighters were dispatched to the 18100 block of Fales Rd. for a rollover accident. Firefighters evaluated two patients and transported one patient to Valley General Hospital.
Jan. 7
Crews responded to 14 calls, including six medical aids, four service calls, one fire, one downed power line, one fire alarm and one mutual aid.
Firefighters were dispatched to a chimney fire in the 19100 block of Waxen Rd. at 2:40 p.m. Firefighters ensured the fire was extinguished and recommended the homeowners have the chimney professionally inspected before further use.
