Snohomish County Fire District 7 responded to 76 calls the week of Oct. 9-15. The district serves the city of Mill Creek and the neighborhoods of Cathcart, Clearview, Thrashers Corner, Maltby, Echo Lake, Gold Creek, The Falls, Turners Corner and North Creek.
Oct. 9
Crews responded to five calls, including four medical aid and one mutual aid.
Oct. 10
Crews responded to 12 calls, including five medical aid, three mutual aid, two motor vehicle collisions, one illegal burn and one odor investigation.
At 2:37 p.m. firefighters responded to a motor vehicle collision involving two cars in the 5500 block of Highway 524. Two patients were evaluated by firefighters and one was transported to Overlake Hospital.
Oct. 11
Crews responded to 13 calls, including seven medical aid, two motor vehicle collisions, one fire, one automatic fire alarm, one natural gas leak and one service call.
Firefighters were dispatched to a head-on motor vehicle collision in the 12300 block of Highway 522 at 8:29 p.m. Firefighters evaluated two people involved in the collision and transported one patient to Valley General Hospital and one patient to Evergreen Hospital.
Oct. 12
Crews responded to 13 calls, including six medical aid, two motor vehicle collisions, two mutual aid, two service calls, one confined space rescue and one odor investigation.
At 8:06 a.m. firefighters responded to a confined space rescue involving a man who fell into a concrete vault at a construction site near the intersection of Sprague Drive and Winesap Road (see separate story).
Oct. 13
Crews responded to 12 calls, including six medical aid, two motor vehicle collisions, two mutual aid, one fire and one automatic fire alarm.
Firefighters were dispatched to a car fire in the 18000 block of Highway 9 at 3:08 p.m. Damage from the fire was confined to the vehicle’s engine compartment.
Oct. 14
Crews responded to 11 calls, including eight medical aid, one fire, one motor vehicle collision and one mutual aid.
Oct. 15
Crews responded to 10 calls, including seven medical aid, two automatic fire alarms and one mutual aid.
