Fire District 1 responded to 256 calls from Oct. 5 to Oct. 11. District 1 serves the neighborhoods of Silver Firs, Lake Serene, Picnic Point, Martha Lake and the cities of Mountlake Terrace and Brier. Here is a sample of those calls:
Oct. 5
Fire/medic crews responded to 41 calls, including 27 medical aid, five motor vehicle collisions and five fires.
At 6:08 a.m. firefighters responded to a three-car collision on the on-ramp from southbound Interstate 5 to southbound Interstate 405 and transported one patient to Providence Everett Medical Center.
Firefighters treated two patients at the scene of a two-car collision in the 16400 block of 36th Ave. W. at 7:37 p.m.
Oct. 6
Fire/medic crews responded to 49 calls, including 34 medical aid, seven motor vehicle collisions and five fires.
Firefighters transported one patient to Providence Everett Medical Center after responding to a head-on collision involving a car and a truck in the 12800 block of Fourth Ave. W. at 11:08 a.m.
Oct. 7
Fire/medic crews responded to 31 calls, including 23 medical aid, four motor vehicle collisions and three fire alarms.
Two patients were taken to Providence Everett Medical Center after firefighters responded to a two-car collision on southbound Interstate 5 north of 196th St. SW at 3:01 a.m.
Oct. 8
Fire/medic crews responded to 38 calls, including 33 medical aid, two fires and one motor vehicle collision.
At 12:25 a.m. firefighters were called to extinguish a large bonfire on the beach at Meadowdale Beach Park.
Firefighters responded to a fire at a mobile home park in the 13100 block of 17th Ave. W. at 12:34 a.m. They discovered and extinguished a small fire under a mobile home. There were no injuries and the fire’s cause is being investigated by the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office.
Oct. 9
Fire/medic crews responded to 38 calls, including 28 medical aid, six motor vehicle collisions and three fires.
A motorcycle and a car collided in the 21800 block of Highway 99 around 1:50 p.m. Firefighters took the motorcyclist to Stevens Hospital.
Firefighters took two patients to Evergreen Medical Center after responding to a two-car collision at 12th Ave. W. and 178th St. SW at 6:15 p.m.
Oct. 10
Fire/medic crews responded to 39 calls, including 27 medical aid, five motor vehicle collisions and two fires.
Firefighters responded to a kitchen fire at home in the 5400 block of 143rd Pl. SW at 10:19 a.m. The fire was confined to the stove top and there were no injuries.
Oct. 11
Fire/medic crews responded to 20 calls, including 12 medical aid, one motor vehicle collision and four fires.
