Fire District 1
Fire District 1 responded to 301 calls from June 29 to July 5. Fire District 1 serves the neighborhoods of Silver Firs, Lake Serene, Picnic Point, Martha Lake and the cities of Mountlake Terrace and Brier. Here is a sample of those calls:
June 29
Fire crews responded to 33 calls, including 23 medical aid, six motor vehicle collisions, one mutual aid, two fires and one service call.
At 1:06 p.m. firefighters responded to a two-car collision with airbag deployment at 164th Street SW and Larch Way. No one was injured.
At 5:52 p.m. firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 148th Street SW and Highway 99 and transported one patient to Stevens Hospital.
At 9:16 p.m. firefighters responded to a fire in the woods in the 12200 block of Scenic Drive.
June 30
Fire crews responded to 37 calls – 24 medical aid, four motor vehicle collisions, five automatic fire alarms, three fires and one other service.
July 1
Fire crews responded to 40 calls, including 22 medical aid, five motor vehicle collisions, 12 fires and one carbon monoxide alarm.
At 12:39 a.m. firefighters responded to a report that a car hit a cement wall and drove into a ditch at Highway 99 and Lake Road. One patient was transported to Providence Everett Medical Center.
At 5:41 a.m. firefighters responded to a two-car collision on the on-ramp to southbound Interstate 5 at 164th Street SW and transported one patient to Stevens Hospital.
July 2
Fire crews responded to 41 calls, including 25 medical aid, 13 fires, two automatic fire alarms and one hazardous materials call.
July 3
Fire crews responded to 48 calls, including 14 fires, 28 medical aid, two motor vehicle collisions, two mutual aid, one automatic fire alarm and one other service.
At 12:02 a.m. firefighters responded to a fully involved car fire in the 12600 block of 8th Avenue West.
At 12:06 a.m. firefighters responded to a collision involving a car and motorcycle at Beverly Park Road and the Mukilteo Speedway and transported the motorcyclist to Providence Everett Medical Center.
July 4
Fire crews responded to 57 calls, including 29 fires, 24 medical aid, two motor vehicle collisions, one automatic fire alarm and one mutual aid.
At 2:28 p.m. firefighters responded to a roof fire at home in the 5600 block of 148th Street SE. The fire was started by fireworks and caused more than $350,000 damage and displaced a family of three.
July 5
Fire crews responded to 45 calls, including 29 medical aid, 11 fires, one motor vehicle collision, one automatic fire alarm and three mutual aid.Â
