Snohomish County Fire District 7 responded to 102 calls the week of Aug. 28 through Sept. 3. The district serves the city of Mill Creek and the neighborhoods of Cathcart, Clearview, Thrashers Corner, Maltby, Echo Lake, Gold Creek, The Falls, Turners Corner and North Creek.
Aug. 28
Crews responded to 12 calls, including six medical aid, two fires, two service calls, one motor vehicle collision and one automatic fire alarm.
At 9:50 p.m. firefighters responded to a cooking fire at a home in the 15000 block of Mill Creek Blvd. The fire was confined to the pan being used for cooking.
Aug. 29
Crews responded to 14 calls, including 11 medical aid, one fire, one motor vehicle collision and one gasoline spill.
Firefighters responded to a barn fire in the 9300 block of 164th Ave. SE at 12:37 p.m. Firefighters protected two nearby structures and extinguished the fire. The fire caused $25,000 damage to the entire barn, a metal carport and some vegetation.
Aug. 30
Crews responded to 16 calls, including eight medical aid, three mutual aid, two motor vehicle collisions, two service calls and one automatic fire alarm.
At 9:09 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Cathcart Way and Highway 9. Firefighters evaluated two patients.
Aug. 31
Crews responded to 14 calls, including 10 medical aid, two motor vehicle collisions, one illegal burn and one mutual aid.
Firefighters responded to the intersection of 168th St. SE and 35th Ave. SE for a two-vehicle collision at 11:25 a.m. Firefighters treated and transported two patients to Evergreen Hospital.
Sept. 1
Crews responded to 19 calls, including 10 medical aid, two illegal burns, two good intent calls, two mutual aid, one motor vehicle collision and one automatic fire alarm.
Sept. 2
Crews responded to 15 calls, including seven medial aid, three mutual aid, two fires, one motor vehicle collision, one automatic fire alarm and one wires down.
At 7:36 a.m. firefighters were dispatched to the 23000 block of Paradise Lake Road for a residential fire. The fire was caused by a cigarette discarded in a planter box outside the home. Damages to the outside of the home and one of the bedrooms were estimated to be $31,000. There were no injuries.
Sept. 3
Crews responded to 12 calls, including nine medical aid, one illegal burn, one automatic fire alarm and one mutual aid.
