Fire District 1 responded to 197 calls from June 24 to 28. Fire District 1 serves the neighborhoods of Silver Firs, Lake Serene, Picnic Point, Martha Lake and the cities of Mountlake Terrace and Brier. Here is a sample of those calls:
June 24
Fire crews responded to 39 calls, including 27 medical aid, three motor vehicle accidents, one mutual aid, one wires down, four fires, two illegal burns and one investigation.
At 1:21 a.m. firefighters responded to the 14000 block of Picnic Point Road after a car collided with a pole. One patient was transported to Providence Everett Medical Center.
June 25
Fire crews responded to 51 calls, including 38 medical aid, two motor vehicle accidents, three service calls, one investigation, four fires, three mutual aid and one illegal burn.
At 2:03 p.m. firefighters responded to 164th Street SW and Meadow Road to treat a bicyclist who rode into the back of a car. The cyclist was transported by a private ambulance to the hospital.
June 26
Fire crews responded to 27 calls, including 19 medical aid, two fires, four motor vehicle accidents, one investigation and one move up.
At 9:33 a.m. firefighters responded to a rollover collision at Oak Way and Vine Road in Brier and transported one patient to Stevens Hospital.
At 8:06 p.m. firefighters responded to a car that crashed into a tree in the 500 block of 214th Street SW and transported three patients to Evergreen Medical Center.
At 10:16 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to a house fire in the first block of 192nd Street SW. The residents were not home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries. The fire did more than $350,000 damage.
June 27
Fire crews responded to 38 calls, including 20 medical aid, six motor vehicle accidents, four fires, three mutual aid, four automatic fire alarms and one illegal burn.
Firefighters responded to a collision that left a small car sandwiched between a semi truck and its trailer at 5:57 a.m. at 128th Street SW and 4th Avenue W. One patient was transported by medic unit to Providence Everett Medical Center.
At 2:50 p.m. firefighters responded to and extinguished a bark fire at Brierwood Park.
At 6:28 p.m. firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 62nd Drive SE and Puget Park Drive and transported one patient to Providence Everett Medical Center.
June 28
Fire crews responded to 42 calls, including 26 medical aid, one investigation, three automatic fire alarms, four fires, one mutual aid, five motor vehicle accidents and two service calls.
At 3:56 p.m. firefighters responded to a bark fire in the 4400 block of Shelby Road.
