Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 216 calls from March 11-17. Fire District 1 serves the cities of Mountlake Terrace and Brier and the neighborhoods of Silver Firs, Eastmont, Mariner, Lake Serene, Picnic Point, Martha Lake, Lake Stickney, Norma Beach, Hilltop and Pioneer Trails.
March 11
Crews responded to 33 calls, including 27 medical aid, four motor vehicle accidents and two automatic fire alarms.
March 12
Crews responded to 21 calls, including 19 medical aid, one fire and one service call.
At 6:07 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a fire at an apartment complex in the 21300 block of 52nd Ave. W. The caller reported flames coming from the back of the building. It turned out to be a barbecue.
March 13
Crews responded to 33 calls, including 22 medical aid, three fire, two carbon monoxide alarms, one motor vehicle accident, two automatic fire alarms, one move-up to cover an empty station cluster and two investigations.
At 5:32 a.m., firefighters responded to a heater fire in the 4700 block of 233rd SW. in Mountlake Terrace. The owner turned off the heater that was glowing red and there was no fire.
March 14
Crews responded to 25 calls, including 21 medical aid, two motor vehicle accidents and two automatic fire alarms.
At 4:51 p.m. firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 204th St. SW. and 28th Ave. W. and transported one patient to Stevens Hospital.
March 15
Crews responded to 37 calls, including 31 medical aid, two investigations, three motor vehicle accidents and one automatic fire alarm.
At 5:54 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision on northbound Interstate 5 at the off-ramp to 128th St. SW. and transported one patient to Providence Everett Medical Center.
March 16
Crews responded to 28 calls, including 22 medical aid, one fire, three motor vehicle accidents, one mutual aid and one automatic fire alarm.
At 8:34 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to an apartment fire in the 3300 block of 164th St. SW. The fire was confined to the microwave oven.
At 11:11 a.m., firefighters responded to a six-car accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 north of 164th St. SW. and transported one patient to Providence Everett Medical Center.
March 17
Crews responded to 39 calls, including 27 medical aid, three fires, seven motor vehicle accidents, one service call and one automatic fire alarm.
At 10:11 p.m., firefighters were called to 230th St. SW. and 53rd Ave. W. where one car collided with a parked car. The driver was transported to Stevens Hospital.
At 1:39 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a dog attack in the 5400 block of 212th St. SW. and transported one woman to Harborview Medical Center and another woman to Northwest Hospital.
At 4:16 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at Damson Road and Filbert Road and transported one patient to Stevens Hospital.
