The Edmonds Fire Department made 101 calls in and around Edmonds from Nov. 15 through 21, bringing the total calls for the year to 4,485.
Nov. 21
Medics treated nine patients.
Firefighters responded to a reported car fire in the 9500 block of Bowdoin Way. The owner was able to extinguish the fire prior to the crew’s arrival.
Nov. 20
Medics were called out to administer aid to four patients.
Firefighters responded to three false alarms.
Nov. 19
Medics responded to four calls.
Firefighters extinguished a vehicle fire in a parking lot in the 19400 block of Highway 99. The fire, which had started near the heater assembly in the engine compartment, had burned through the firewall into the passenger compartment before it was extinguished.
Firefighters also assisted a homeowner in the 23800 block of 77th Avenue W. in locating the source of water that was flooding his basement.
Nov. 18
Medics administered aid to 12 patients.
Firefighters responded to three alarms that turned out to be false. Two of the false alarms were caused by the most common reasons, overheating in the kitchen and sanding in close proximity to the detector.
Nov. 17
Medics were called out on 14 calls during the day.
