The Edmonds Fire Department made 139 calls in and around Edmonds from Sept. 13-23, bringing the total calls for the year to 3,632.

Sept. 23

Medics treated seven patients including a young female driver of a car involved in a two car collision in the 200 block on Hwy 99. She suffered minor injuries and was transported to Stevens Hospital.

Firefighters assisted the Lynn wood Fire Department in extinguishing a fire at a residence in the 6900 block on 189th Place Southwest.

Sept. 22

Medics were called out to treat 12 patients.

Sept. 21

Medics responded to 11 calls.

Sept. 20

Medics treated 17 patients before transporting nine to Stevens Hospital and one to the Northwest Hospital for further evaluation.

Firefighters responded to a call from a concerned resident in the 8300 block on 1184th Street Southwest regarding a potential danger from her electric stove. The element in the stove had shorted out leaving the coils glowing. The crew turned off the stove breaker and advised the resident to have the stove repaired before turning the breaker back on.

Sept. 19

Medics treated 12 patients and transported eight to local hospitals for further evaluation.

Sept. 18

Medics responded to seven calls during the day.

Sept. 17

Medics were called out to treat 16 patients, transporting eight to Stevens Hospital and three to Northwest Hospital for further treatments. Included in their calls was tending to three drivers of two car accidents. The first accident occurred at 200th St. SW and Highway 99, in which one of the drivers suffering knee and collar-bone pain was taken to Stevens Hospital for further treatment. The second accident was a T-bone and occurred in the 200 block on 74th Ave. W. The young, male driver of the car which hit the side of the other car suffered facial injuries and was taken to Stevens Hospital. The young female driver of the T-boned car suffered minor neck irritation from air bag deployment, but refused to go to a hospital. Firefighters responded to two false alarms.

Sept. 16

Medics responded to seven calls. Firefighters responded to three false alarms.
