Aug.10

Medics responded to 13 calls.

Firefighters extinguished a brush, bush and tree fire in the front yard of a house in the 23300 block on 82nd Place West.

Aug.9

Medics treated ten patients before transporting eight to Stevens Hospital for further evaluation. Two of the calls were to administer aid to individuals involved in rear-end traffic accidents. The first accident occurred in the 22500 block on Highway 99 where the female driver of the front car suffered neck pains , was backboarded and transported to Stevens. The second accident, occurring at 95th Place West and Edmonds Way, caused minor injuries to both the driver and passenger of the front car. They were also transported to Stevens Hospital.

Firefighters were called out to rescue a female employee locked in a room at her business. The crew found the lock to be broken and had to force the door open with irons – much to the relief of the employee.
