The Edmonds Fire Department made 76 calls in and around Edmonds from May 24-30, bringing the total calls for the year to 2,046.

May 30

Medics responded to 12 calls.

May 29

Medics were called out to treat four patients. A power outage in downtown Edmonds caused three false alarms and an elevator became stuck between the first and second floors in an assisted living facility in the 300 block of Howell Way. The crew was able to open the elevator door and help the trapped residents out.

May 28

Medics responded to 10 calls.

May 27

Medics responded to eight calls, and transported six to Stevens Hospital. Included in the calls was a three car accident in the 21900 block on Hwy. 99. Two of the drivers, suffering possible back injuries, were taken to Stevens Hospital.

May 26

Medics were called out on seven calls.

May 25

Medics were called upon to treat 20 patients which included tending to a middle aged female who was trying to restrain a shoplifter outside of a grocery store on Hwy. 99. She was thrown to the ground and suffered some abrasions and needed transportation to Stevens Hospital. The shoplifter was transported by Edmonds Police.

May 24

Medics responded to seven calls.
