The Edmonds Fire Department made 99 responses in and around Edmonds from Nov. 10-16, bringing the total calls for the year to 4,230.
Nov. 16
Medics responded to nine calls.
Nov. 15
Three car accidents were among the 11 calls medics responded to during the day. The first accident occurring in the 9400 block of Bowdoin Way involved a driver who lost control and hit a parked car. She suffered minor injuries. The second accident occurred in the 22100 block of Highway 99 where a car going 35-40 mph hit a pedestrian, throwing him 25-30 feet. He suffered multisystem trauma and was backboarded and transported to Harborview Medical Center. The third car accident, which occurred in the 8200 block of 220th Street SW, was a single-car, low-impact crash into a parked car and then an above ground electrical vault. Neither the driver nor her 4-year-old passenger suffered any injuries.
Nov. 14
Medics responded to nine calls, seven of which were transported to Stevens Hospital for further evaluation.
Nov. 13
Medics were called out for 15 calls, including tending to a woman involved in a car accident in the 200 block of Highway 99. She complained of neck pain and was backboarded and transported to Stevens Hospital.
Nov. 12
Medics responded to 12 calls.
Nov. 11
Medics were called out on 15 calls and transported 10 people to local hospitals.
Firefighters were called upon to set up a helicopter landing zone at Edmonds-Woodway High School where they transported the Airlift Northwest crew to Stevens Hospital to pick up a patient and return to the waiting helicopter.
Medics responded to 12 calls.
Nov. 10
Medics responded to seven calls during the day.
Firefighters responded to three false alarms.
