There were 18 responses. Responded to Alderwood Mall for a report of a baby not breathing. Upon arrival found a 1-year-old had fallen and struck her head with a decreased level of consciousness. Treatment was given and the child was transported to Harborview. Responded to the Lynnwood jail for a 2-year-old girl who had her finger stuck in an automatic closing door. A large teddy bear, and a pink Band-aid were effective in stopping tears. We went back to the Lynnwood Jail for a 40-year-old male who had fallen two weeks ago and hurt his wrist. He was taken to Stevens ER after LPD cited and released him. Responded to an automatic fire alarm (AFA).
March 10
There were 21 responses. Responded to the 20500 block of 56 Ave. W. for an 18 year-old-male who was extremely combative. The patient was restrained and transported to Stevens Hospital for evaluation with a Lynnwood police officer riding along in the aid car. Responded to the 7400 block of 201st St SW for an 83-year-old-male in cardiac arrest. Patient was worked at the scene and revived and then transported to Stevens Hospital. The patient reportedly arrested again in the ER and was revived again. Responded to the 16600 block of 48 Ave. W for a 9 year-old-female that was unconscious due to high blood sugar, patient was treated on-scene and transported to Stevens Hospital.
March 11
The busiest day of the week with 32 responses. Responded to the 4800 block of 180th St. SW for a vehicle fire. The fire was contained to the engine compartment and extinguished with a pressurized water can. Two hazardous materials technicians responded to a neighboring jurisdiction for a potentially hazardous condition. No problem was found. Responded to a retirement home for a small fire contained to the stove top. An on-site maintenance worker discovered the fire with the resident still in the room talking on the phone. The room and hallway were cleared of smoke using positive pressure ventilation and the resident was evaluated with no treatment required. Responded to two structure fires in Snohomish County Fire District 1 but were canceled on both before arriving on scene.
March 12
There were 23 responses. Responded to the 18600 block of Hwy. 99 for a report of smoke in the area. Investigation found the source of the smoke to be a wood stove.
March 13
There were 21 responses. Responded to the 16600 block of 48th Ave. W. for rain water leaking through roof. A maintenance worker was working on the problem and the fire department returned to service. Responded to 4800 block of 196th St SW for a AFA, no problems were found. Responded to the Alderwood Mall for a Sprinkler Water Flow Alarm. No problems were found, A water hammer may have tripped the system.
March 14
There were 31 responses. Five of our responses were to Snohomish County Fire District One for mutual aid. Responded to Lynnwood High School baseball field for a 31-year-old male who was struck in the mouth by a softball. Patient lost four teeth and had a severely lacerated lip. He was treated and transported to Stevens Hospital.
March 15
There were 21 responses. Responded to 2400 block of 196th St SW for a Motor vehicle accident (MVA), no patients were transported to the hospital. Responded to 19400 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway for a oil spill from another MVA.
