Fire Sirens

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 259 calls the week of Dec. 11-16.

Dec. 16

District 1 crews responded to 55 calls: 31 emergency medical aid calls, three fires, four motor vehicle collisions, nine service calls, one carbon monoxide alarm and seven fire alarms.

At 3:28 p.m., firefighters responded to a four-car collision on southbound I-5 south of 196th St. SW. No one was injured.

At 3:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire at home in the 12600 block of 29th Pl. W. The homeowner called 911 after discovering a fire in his attached garage. He and his wife safely exited the house. No one was injured. The fire was contained to the garage, but there was smoke damage throughout the split-entry house. Damage is estimated at $75,000. An investigator from the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office determined the fire was started by ashes that had been cleaned out of the fireplace and placed in a plastic garbage can in the garage.

At 6 p.m., firefighters responded to a three-car collision at 220th St. SW and I-5. No one was injured.

Dec. 15

District 1 crews responded to 40 calls: 29 emergency medical aid calls, two fires, four motor vehicle collisions, four service calls and one fire alarm.

At 9:51 a.m., firefighters responded to a chimney fire at a home in the 2000 block of 211th Pl. SW.

Dec. 14

District 1 crews responded to 49 calls: 30 emergency medical aid calls, 11 motor vehicle collisions, three fires and two service calls.

At 12:02 a.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision in the 700 block of 134th St. SW. No one was injured.

At 3:06 a.m., firefighters responded to a one-car spin-out collision on southbound I-5 north of 164th St. SW. No one was injured.

At 11:40 a.m., firefighters responded to a car that went off the road on northbound I-5 north of 164th St. SW. No one was injured.

At 3:29 p.m., firefighters responded to a Dumpster fire at an apartment complex in the 3500 block of 204th St. SW.

At 8:19 p.m., firefighters responded to a chimney fire at a home in the 22000 block of 56th Ave. W in Mountlake Terrace.

Dec. 13

31 calls – 20 emergency medical aid calls, four motor vehicle collisions, five fires and two fire alarms.

At 1:13 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a two-car collision at Airport Road and Highway 99.

At 7:38 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 220th St. SW and 56th Ave. W in Mountlake Terrace. No one was injured.

At 8:15 p.m., firefighters took one patient Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a two-car collision at Highway 99 and Lincoln Way.

Dec. 12

44 calls – 32 emergency medical aid call, four motor vehicle collisions, one natural gas leak, one fire and six service calls.

At 8:01 a.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision in the 3600 block of 164th St. SW. No one was injured.

At 9:42 a.m., firefighters responded to a collision involving a car that hit a semi-truck on northbound I-5 north of 220th St. SW. No one was injured.

Dec. 11

40 calls – 34 emergency medical aid calls, two motor vehicle collisions, two fires, one natural gas leak and one fire alarm.

At 9:53 a.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 132nd St. SW and SR 525. One car was on its side when firefighters arrived. One patient was transported by ambulance to Swedish Hospital in Seattle.

At 11:26 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 164th St. SW and Ash Way. One patient was transported by ambulance to Stevens Hospital.
