Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 279 calls the week of Aug. 21-27
Aug. 27
District 1 crews responded to 36 calls: 21 emergency medical aid calls, four fires, five motor vehicle collisions, three fire alarms and three service calls.
At 12:02 p.m., firefighters responded to a head-on, two-car collision at 164th St. SW and Alderwood Mall Parkway and extricated one patient, who was transported by medics to Stevens Hospital. Two other patients were transported by ambulance to Evergreen Hospital.
At 7:09 p.m., firefighters responded to a car fire on the northbound I-5 ramp to State Route 526.
At 9:06 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 164th St. SW and 36th Ave. W. No one was injured.
Aug. 26
District 1 crews responded to 45 calls: 33 emergency medical aid calls, one fire, three motor vehicle collisions, one carbon monoxide alarm, three service calls and four fire alarms.
At 8:18 p.m., firefighters responded to a car that went off the road on northbound I-5 north of 236th St. SW. No one was injured.
Aug. 25
37 calls – 27 emergency medical aid calls, five motor vehicle collisions, one fire, two carbon monoxide alarms and two service calls.
At 1:22 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of two cars on fire in a parking lot in the 6200 block of St. Albion Way in Mountlake Terrace. They arrived to find a port-a-potty fire that had spread to a car and a truck and was threatening other vehicles. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. The port-a-potty was destroyed and the car and the truck were heavily damaged by the fire. Another car sustained heat damage.
At 4:55 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 216th St. SW and 48th Ave. W and evaluated one patient at the scene.
At 6:37 p.m., firefighters responded to a motor vehicle collision at 148th St. SW and Highway 99 and transported one patient to Evergreen Hospital.
Aug. 24
District 1 crews responded to 40 calls: 32 emergency medical aid calls, three motor vehicle collisions, three fires, one carbon monoxide alarm and one fire alarm.
At 2:06 a.m., firefighters responded to a one-car rollover collision at 164th St. SW and 7th Pl. W. They arrived to find one car on its roof with two people trapped inside. Firefighters extricated both patients – one was declared dead at the scene and the other was transported to Providence Everett Medical Center.
At 11:13 a.m., firefighters responded to a dumpster fire in the 23400 block of 38th Pl. W.
At 11:02 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision in the 14800 block of 18th Ave. W and transported one patient to Stevens Hospital.
Aug. 23
57 calls – 44 emergency medical aid calls, two motor vehicle collisions, five fires, two service calls and two fire alarms.
At 9:07 p.m., firefighters responded to a car fire on northbound I-5 south of 220th St. SW.
At 10:41 p.m., firefighters responded to a car that crashed into a ditch at 45th Pl. W and Shelby Road. No one was injured.
