Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 238 calls the week of July 24-30.

July 30

District 1 crews responded to 40 calls: 33 emergency medical aid calls, one motor vehicle collision, one fire alarm and two service calls.

At 6:05 a.m., firefighters responded to a car fire on northbound I-5 north of 220th St. SW.

At 1:03 p.m., firefighters responded to a multi-car collision on northbound I-5 south of 220th St. SW. No one was injured.

July 28

District 1 crews responded to 31 calls: 26 emergency medical aid calls, one motor vehicle collision, three fires and one service call.

At 2:20 p.m., firefighters responded to a small fire caused by an electrical short that damaged a carport at a home in the 15600 block of Larch Way.

July 27

District 1 crews responded to 30 calls – 25 emergency medical aid calls, three motor vehicle collisions, one fire and one fire alarm.

At 8:13 a.m., firefighters responded to a car fire at Highway 99 and Manor Way.

July 26

District 1 crews responded to 37 calls: 30 emergency medical aid calls, three fires, two motor vehicle collisions, one service call and one fire alarm.

At 4:48 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire in the woods at 144th St. SE and 46th Ave. E.

At 10:05 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital after responding to a two-car collision at 164th St. SW and Alderwood Mall Parkway.

At 6:04 p.m., firefighters responded to a stove-top grease fire that spread to cabinets and sheetrock at a home in the 400 block of 117th St. SE. No one was injured.

July 25

District 1 crews responded to 35 calls: 26 emergency medical aid calls, three motor vehicle collisions, three fires and three service calls.

At 2:19 p.m., firefighters responded to a brush fire in the 16500 block of North Road.

At 10:35 p.m., firefighters responded to a head-on collision involving a driver going the wrong way on southbound I-5 south of 164th St. SW. They extricated one patient who was transported by paramedics to Providence Everett Medical Center.

July 24

District 1 crews responded to 37 calls: 30 emergency medical aid calls, four fires, two service calls and one fire alarm.

At 1:20 p.m., firefighters responded to a house fire in the 17700 block of Alder Way. The house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. The house is a total loss. Red Cross is assisting the family of four that lived there. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.

At 2:08 p.m., firefighters responded to a car fire in the 13600 block of the Mukilteo Speedway.
