For the seventh year, the Shoreline Fire Department and IAFF Union Local 1760 are hosting the popular Firefighters Court Classic Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12 at Shorewood High School at 17300 Fremont Ave. N. in Shoreline. All proceeds go to the Washington State Council of Firefighters Burn Foundation. Teams from Shoreline, Bothell, Bellingham, Bellevue, Marysville, Woodinville, Everett, Lakewood, Gig Harbor, Snohomish Fire District 7, Boeing Fire, Kent, Lynnwood, Edmonds, and Seattle Fire Departments have signed up.
Shoreline Fire is the current reigning champion.
Opening Round games start at 6 p.m. Friday with the last game starting at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Opening Round games begin at 10 a.m. and run till 1 p.m. Consolation Rounds are from 1 to 5 p.m.. The Championship games start at 6:30 and 8 p.m. Saturday.
Thousands of dollars worth of prizes will be raffled off, with a chance to win $10,000 in a Half Court Shot contest sponsored by Debbie’s Drift On Inn Casino.
The 2003 Firefighters Calendar models are also scheduled to appear.
Tickets are $10 for adults, children under 12 are free. They are available at the door, or in advance at the Shoreline Fire Department Headquarters, 17525 Aurora Ave. N. in Shoreline.
