It’s a Mill Creek tradition! The 25th Run of the Mill will be July 10 in Mill Creek Town Center. Only a few years ago Linda and Steve Knox saved the event from the brink of extinction. They not only saved it, but nourished it, expanded it and managed to contribute more than $43,000 to Providence Regional Cancer Partnership in Everett for patient assistance and other charitable causes from entry fees of about 2,000 participants last year.
They involved volunteers from all parts of Mill Creek to make it a well-organized community event, as well as a symbol of our active, healthy lifestyle.
I’ve been very fortunate to run in 12 of these events. If my 84-year-old knees hold up, I’ll try again this summer. I hope many of you will join this tradition and contribute to a good cause.
