Graffiti arrest could solve nine crimes

The following are selected reports from the Edmonds Police Department’s police blotter.

Aug. 26

Assault. 21000 block of 76th Ave. W. Suspect assaulted her caregiver by slapping them on the face. Police booked the suspect into SCJ.

Aug. 25

Malicious Mischief. 500 block of 5th Ave. S. Three suspects arrested in graffiti case. One originally admitted to being a suspect in four other cases, but later as many as nine cases could be linked to the suspect.

Theft. 24000 block of Hwy. 99. Theft of clothing from Burlington Coat Factory.

Aug. 20

Malicious mischief 20000 block of 85th Pl. W. Vehicle’s exterior and hood damaged overnight while parked in owner’s driveway.

Theft. 100 block of 4th Ave. N. Female caught attempting to conceal items on her person in Edmonds business. The suspect left the business with an unknown amount of merchandise.

Aug. 22

Malicious Mischief. 1000 block of Main St. Two juveniles found tampering with campaign signs.

Aug. 21

Malicious mischief. 9600 block of 220th St. SW. Five juveniles located on school property found damaging construction fencing. All suspects were arrested, charged with crimes and released at the scene to guardians.

Aug. 19

Theft. 21000 block of 76th Ave. W. Commercial burglary of optometrist office.

Aug. 16

Trespass. 9300 block of 236th St. SW. 11 Suspects found trespassing on school grounds, lighting off fireworks and drinking.
