MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Police arrested a man after receiving a call at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, May 14, about gunfire at the Lakeside Apartments, 6202 St. Albion Way. No one was seriously injured.

The 20-year-old Mountlake Terrace man started running when officers arrived and was stopped by police, police chief Scott Smith said.

Police found a black .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun near one of the buildings and empty shell casings in the road, Smith said. There were three bullets still in the gun.

The man denied shooting the gun, Smith said. The man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence and was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of reckless endangerment and unlawful discharge of a firearm in city limits.
