Edmonds

“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” — 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 20-30: Alternative Stages presents Kathryn Schulz Miller’s dramatization of Washington Irving’s spooky classic story, at the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds. Fresh Cider Squeeze — 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22: Faith Community Church, 10220 238th St. SW, Edmonds, hosts this 9th annual hands-on event where participants can take home a fresh cider. First Annual Halloween Howl — 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22: Dog lovers can dress up their furry friends and head for the Off-Leash Area of Edmonds south of Marina Beach. Canine Costume judging at 3 p.m., with prizes; free hot dogs served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Info: www.olae.org.

Fairbank “Hands On” Animal &Pumpkin Farm — 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays &Sundays, through Oct. 31: Farm animals petting and feeding area, vegetable garden, Hidden Bear Trail and Pumpkin Land. Downtown Edmonds Trick-or-Treat — 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31: Streets will be closed off to automobile traffic as local merchants on Main Street, in Old Mill Town and along Fifth Avenue S. hand out candy for trick-or-treaters in the event focusing on safety. Info: 425-776-6711.

Halloween carnival &silent auction — 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15: 17th annual Shoreline Cooperative Preschool Halloween event features games, prizes, pony rides and bouncy castle, at Aldercrest Learning Center gym, 2545 NE 200th St., Shoreline.
