After selling out the first and second nights of local playwright Jeff Stillwell’s latest work “Hand Off,” the play enters an extended run of an additional four performances this weekend at ArtWorks in Edmonds.
Written and directed by Stilwell, “Hand Off” is a playful take on the struggle to find happiness. Starring Don Cimini, Bruce Erickson (last seen in Stilwell’s “Traffic Stop”) and Kelly Hyde, the play is presented in the “in the round” format.
“Hand Off” is a follow up to “Penny Upstart and the Widget War” which ran last winter at the Everett PUD and the sold-out staged reading of “Traffic Stop” this spring at ArtWorks.
“I’m quite taken with ArtWorks,” Stilwell said. “The acoustics are exceptional and the facility is really flexible. We expect to do a few more plays there.”
Tickets for “Hand Off” are $8 in advance and $10 at the door for the remaining four performances, at 8:15 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 29-30 and Aug. 5-6. They may be purchased at Kindred Circle Art Gallery, 409 Main Street in downtown Edmonds, or by calling 425-776-3778.
ArtWorks is located at Second and Dayton in Edmonds. More information can be found at www.KindredCircle.com by clicking on the “Players” link.
