Heartfelt menu supports St. Jude

Boston’s Restaurant &Sports Bar has started its annual Boston’s Cares charity campaign to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Boston’s Mill Creek location is 15310 Main St., Mill Creek.

Now through Feb. 26, Boston’s will donate $1 from each sale of featured Boston’s Cares desserts, heart-shaped pizzas and paper hearts to support St. Jude’s research and treatment for kids with deadly childhood diseases.

Free family fun

Learn fun ways to make healthy food choices at a family-friendly cooking demonstration with culinary and television personality Graham Kerr and Swedish/Edmonds registered dietitian Megan Ellison. Kerr, best known as The Galloping Gourmet, lives in Island County and is committed to helping people make healthy, creative, lifestyle changes.

The inaugural Healthier Choices session will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at Cedar Valley Community School, 19200 56th Ave. W, Lynnwood. It will showcase healthy and easy to prepare meals, affordable breakfasts and snacks.

Recipes, prizes and free food samples will be offered.

Cooking classes

Valentine tasting

Arista Wine Cellars and Nama’s Candies are teaming up to make a flavorful Valentine’s season. The two Edmonds retailers are offering a free red wine and chocolate tasting on 5-7 p.m., Feb. 10 at the wine shop, 320 Fifth Ave. S.

Stop by to sample treats from the delicious-smelling and scrumptious-tasting warm chocolate fountain. Dip fruit or pound cake paired with a selection of red wines.
