Shorewood senior pitcher Heidi Heric threw her first perfect game in the T-birds’ 2-0 season-opening win over Interlake in a non-league affair Monday.
Heric collected 17 strikeouts and fanned the first five Saints she faced. She also drove in the winning run in the top of the first inning. Last season, Heric went 13-6, including a no-hitter against Meadowdale.
The T-birds are scheduled to open their Wesco 4A South Divison schedule March 25 at Kamiak.
