Shorewood seniors Tim Hester and Matt Jensen each went 6-0 and won all their matches by pin Dec. 28-29 at the Iolani Tournament in Honolulu.
The Thunderbirds went 3-3 in dual matches within their pool at the 25-team tournament at Iolani High School.
Hester, who wrestled at 189 pounds, is unbeaten this season.
Jensen beat Chris Nishigawa of St. Louis High School, a defending Hawaii state champion, by pin at the 3 minute, 24 second mark in the first match Dec. 28. St. Louis, however, defeated Shorewood 39-36.
Pearl City, Hawaii beat the Thunderbirds 50-30, Dec. 28. Brea Olinda of Orange County, Calif., the toughest team in the pool beat Shorewood 63-18, also on Friday.
Shorewood ended Friday with a 64-12 win over Moana Loa of Hawaii.
On Dec. 29, the T-birds beat Waianae, Hawaii, 42-21 and concluded the tournament with a 44-30 win over Newport of Bellevue.
Shorewood coach Arnie Moreno said freshmen Kyle Floresca and Brandon Leach also had several good matches as did junior Carl Berenson.
Everyone on the young team picked up at least one victory, Moreno said.
“It was a lot of fun,” he said. “Everybody had fun.”
A contingent of 41 wrestlers, parents, coaches and managers flew to Hawaii for the tournament. The group was one of the loudest at the tournament, Moreno said, adding that three wrestlers had extended family in Hawaii who came to watch.
The T-birds resumed league action against Kamiak Jan. 3 after Enterprise deadlines. The annual Shoreline Invitational takes place Saturday, Jan. 5 starting at 9 a.m.
