The new Lynnwood High School will be dedicated in a ceremony starting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at the school.

A reception and guided tours will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. prior to a dedication ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Guided tours will resume at 4:30 p.m. and will run to 5:30 p.m.

The school is at 18218 North Road in Bothell.

Besides guided tours, other things to look for include the new Athletic Hall of Fame, customized engraved pavers in the entry and multi-media displays of the 2007 groundbreaking ceremony and construction over the past two years.

The new school was financed by the voter-approved 2006 Capital Construction Bond. Construction on the energy-efficient, state-of-the-art building began on June 19, 2007 during a groundbreaking ceremony led by current and future students of Lynnwood High School.
