Bothell

Bothell Winterfest: 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, children’s hay rides at the Park at Bothell Landing, 9919 NE 180th St., and visits with Santa in the Lytle House. Edmonds

Christmas Ships: 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, depart from the Edmonds Marina on the Argosy Christmas ships for a tour of Edmonds and Richmond Beach waterfronts (Tickets: $25 adults, $22.50 seniors, $12 children, ages 5-12, free ages 5 &under); or gather on shore at the Edmonds Waterfront Fishing Pier to view the boats and participate in a sing-a-long. Holiday Open House: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, the Swamp Creek Model Railroad Association hosts this annual open house featuring a number of railroad displays, Santa Claus (in the morning) and the group’s model railroad diorama, at the Edmonds Amtrak station, 211 Railroad Ave., Edmonds.

CRISTA Nativity Exhibit: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, this 17th annual event features more than 750 nativity displays, highlighting the craftsmanship of artisans from more than 80 countries, at the CRISTA Senior Community Nursing Center, 19303 Fremont Ave N., Shoreline. North City Holiday Tree Lighting: 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, the North City business district in Shoreline hosts the annual lighting of the tree, plus caroling, cookies, visit from Santa, presents for the children. Woodinville

Special Santa Event: 9 a.m.-43 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, Northshore Special Families hosts this annual event for children with special needs, at Woodinville Alliance Church. Santa and his elves interact with children to help them warm to Santa at their own pace. No waiting in line; children and their families participate in supported activities until their time with Santa. Every family receives a photo with Santa Claus.
