ID theft hits Edmonds from Peru

The following are selected reports from the Edmonds police department’s police blotter:

Feb. 23

Malicious mischief. 23100 block of 102nd Place W. Graffiti left on board at victim’s residence.

Assist outside agency. 4800 block of 212th St. SW., Mountlake Terrace. K-9 assist to Mountlake Terrace police department on search for a robbery suspect.

Feb. 21

Warrant service. 23800 block of Highway 99. Subject acting suspicious. Police contacted and a warrant was located. Booked at Lynnwood Jail.

Auto theft. 23200 block of 75th Ave. W. Report of a vehicle being stolen from driveway while parked overnight. No suspects.

Informational. 22100 block of Highway 99. Subject contacted in a SOAP, or “Stay Out of Areas of Prostitution” area. Subject admitted prior prostitution charge.

Feb. 20

Auto theft. 22700 block of 76th Ave. W. Victim reports van stolen after caregiver had used it to run errands.

Narcotics. 7400 block of 210th St. SW. A man was arrested for narcotics and driving with license suspended. A woman was arrested for narcotics. Both booked at Snohomish County Jail.

Malicious mischief. 206th Pl. SW. and 80th Ave. W. Numerous city signs intentionally driven over sometime overnight. No suspect information.

Malicious mischief. 20300 block of 81st Ave. W. Group of mailboxes on common posts were run over with a vehicle. Occurred sometime overnight. No suspect information.

Feb. 19

Informational. 7900 block of 212th St. SW. Unauthorized use of debit card online. Charge originated in Peru.

DUI. 220th St. SW. and Highway 99. A vehicle was stopped at a red light and was hit from behind by another vehicle. The driver of first vehicle fled the scene, but the accident was observed by an off-duty Sheriff’s Office deputy who identified the vehicles involved. The driver who fled was arrested on charges of DUI and hit and run and booked into Snohomish County Jail.

Assault. 9000 block of 236th St. SW. Homeowner allowed a transient male to stay at residence. The transient later took funds out of victim’s account without permission, assaulted homeowner and left.
