BOTHELL

Navy Seaman Carlo O. Cruz recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Cruz is the brother of Paolo O. Cruz of Bothell.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Edwin A. Giddings recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is the son of Ronard E. Giddings of Bothell.

MILL CREEK

Navy Reserve Seaman Eric M. Rodriguez recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Rodriguez is a 2009 graduate of Jackson High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Troy D. Koontz graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Thomas Koontz of Mill Creek and a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School.

LYNNWOOD

Air Force Airman Joshua A. Small graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Shelley Dove of Lynnwood.

Air Force Airman Benjamin J. Phillips graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Jay Phillips of Lynnwood.

Navy Seaman Recruit Vincent Song, son of Pamela and Sovann Song of Bothell, Wash., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Song is a 2009 graduate of Lynnwood High School.

EDMONDS

Air Force Airman Bryce A. Sellers graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Jodi Locke of Marysville and is a 2009 graduate of Edmonds-Woodway High School.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE

Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Roderick A. Schwald has been named the U.S. Air Force Academy’s 2009 First Sergeant of the Year. Schwald is the son of Mickey Schwald of Mountlake Terrace and Bob Schwald of Bothell. He is a 1984 graduate of Mountlake Terrace High School.
