Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Belinda R. Fountain has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Marsha Emric of Shoreline.

Army Reserve Pfc. Michael J. Moore has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Moore, son of Robert and Debra Moore of Shoreline, is a 2006 graduate of Ingraham High School in Seattle.

Army Pvt. Justin M. Hulslander has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Hulslander, son of Michael and Phyllis Hulslander of Shoreline, is a 2001 graduate of Shorecrest High School in Shoreline.

Edmonds

Marine Corps Sgt. Aaron Draper, son of Henry and Cathy Draper of Edmonds, was deployed to Iraq in October and expects to be there until spring. He is an aeronautics mechanic with the Marines in Al Asad.

Army National Guard Pvt. James Dunn has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Dunn is the son of Mary Dunn of Lynnwood.

Army Reserve Pvt. Thomas Upshaw has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Upshaw is the son of Pattie Myers of Lynnwood.

Army Pfc. Theodore M. Hill has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Hill, son of Michael Hill of Lynnwood and Debbie Lentz of Spokane, is a 2006 graduate of Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane.
