Walt and Janet Jamison celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 2 at Alderwood Community Church with family and friends. Hosts were the couples’ four children and spouses and eight grandchildren.
The couple were married on Aug. 31, 1957 at Emmanuel Bible Church in Vancouver, Wash. They met at King’s Garden where Walt was working for the radio station and Janet’s family was on staff. Walt retired after 30 years in the engineering department at KOMO in 1999. After staying home to raise their children, Janet returned to nursing part-time, retiring in 1992. They have lived in Mountlake Terrace for the past 44 years.
