Here are selected police reports from Shoreline and Lake Forest Park:
July 3
Fraud. 17000 block 37th Ave. NE. Someone reported fraudulent charges of $150 on their credit card. Upon realizing the charges, the victim cancelled the card.
Suspicious circumstance. 17700 block Bothell Way NE. A woman reported that she saw her mail in her neighbor’s yard. She retrieved the mail by reaching a stick through the neighbor’s fence.
Trespass. 3300 block NE 158th St. Someone reported unknown subjects walking into a neighbor’s house.
Fireworks. 18900 block Forest Park Dr. NE. An elderly man reported that a bomb went off, saying it was the loudest thing he has ever heard.
Property. 17400 block Brookside Blvd. NE. A bicycle was seen in the bushes near the lake.
Graffiti. 3400 block NE 190th St. Someone reported black marker tagging to a speed limit sign.
July 2
Prowler, vehicle. 17500 block Wallingford Ave. Two males attempted to steal items from a vehicle after smashing in the window, but were scared off by the owner. The two suspects fled the scene in a mid-1980s red Ford T-Bird.
Larceny. 900 block N. 155th Ave. An elderly man left a restaurant without paying for his $20.07 meal. The respondent said the man may have mental issues and simply forgot to pay.
Larceny. 17200 block 15th Ave. NE. An unknown suspect stole a woman’s purse and items from her grocery cart.
Juvenile runaway. 2200 block NE 201 Ct. Someone reported a juvenile runaway. There is no information on the person’s last location.
Larceny. 1900 block NE 205th St. Unknown male suspects stole beer from a local convenience store.
911 call. 17100 block Bothell Way NE. Somebody dialed 911 on a library pay phone and immediately hung up. When police responded, no one was seen around the area.
Disturbance. 2600 block NE 195th St. Somebody reported that their neighbor was screaming very loudly in his apartment complex. Police reported that the man yelling had mental issues and hadn’t taken his medication. After police talked to the man, he agreed to be quiet.
July 1
Vandalism. 1800 block N. 175th St. Unknown juveniles were throwing roof tiles and shingles at passing cars.
Controlled substance violation. 13400 block Aurora Ave. N. After a traffic stop, police found the driver in possession of crack cocaine.
Suspicious circumstance. 3500 block NE 165th St. A woman reported a dump truck parked in front of her residence for over 30 minutes.
Suspicious circumstance. 17100 block Bothell Way NE. A woman jumped out of a vehicle on a public roadway and ran across traffic. The respondent said she was driving the woman to an apartment and that she has mental issues.
Shots heard. 19000 block Ballinger Way NE. Someone heard shots behind them. The respondent said it could have been fireworks, but sounded more like a gunshot.
Fireworks. 18900 block Forest Park Dr. NE. Someone heard a loud explosion.
Trespass. 14500 block Bothell Way NE. Two or three unknown suspects refused to leave a club after being escorted to the exit.
Alarm. 19700 block 32nd Ave. NE. A restaurant alarm went off when one of the worker’s husband accidentally activated it.
June 30
Suspicious circumstance. 300 block NW 185th St. Someone reported their neighbor growing marijuana in their house.
Abandoned vehicle. 20000 block Palatine Ave. N. A vehicle was reported to have been parked for two days via the abandoned vehicle hot-line.
