Keep our fire department funded

  • Thursday, May 15, 2008 11:59am

The Emergency Medical Services Levy (EMS) renewal election will be held on May 20. I encourage you to vote, and to vote YES for the EMS levy. Our fire department and emergency medical technicians are always there for you and me, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Our fire and emergency staff are one of the few professions that exist for one reason and for one reason only — to serve the urgent and emergent needs of our community with no conditions attached. These very fine staff respond to any and all types of emergencies (real or not), and do so with a professionalism that is unsurpassed. We can buy no better piece of mind, and sense of security, than the bargain we do and will continue to receive by Voting Yes for the EMS Levy on May 20.
