The King’s volleyball team increased its Chinook League winning streak to five with a 25-7, 25-4, 25-17 victory over Tacoma Baptist Monday night.
The Knights (5-1 league, 5-3 overall) haven’t dropped a league match since their five-game loss to unbeaten Bellevue Christian Sept. 15 and are currently in second place, one game ahead of Cascade Christian.
Last weekend, Riverside Christian of Yakima beat King’s in a non-conference match. The Knights host Lynden Christian, the state’s top-ranked Class 2A team, at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11.
“Our non-league schedule though has been deliberately tough as we want to prepare the team for key league matchups and hopefully for postseason play,” King’s coach Steve Bain said.
