What follows are updates on various road construction projects in the Mill Creek area:
City of Mill Creek
On Oct. 3, the contractor poured new concrete curbs on each corner for the new traffic signal at Main Street and Mill Creek Boulevard. The streets were also repaved on Oct. 4. The contractor has completed most of the conduit installation for the new signal and street light modifications, and is currently painting the new decorative signal poles. The decorative sidewalk work is weather dependent since the concrete will be colored with a stamped pattern.
East of Mill Creek
A couple of road closures are expected to end Tuesday.
One of those closures is a full road closure of 41st Avenue SE. between 152nd Place SE. and 156th Street SE. It is in effect between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
In that same area, a lane on 156th Street SE. west of 41st will be closed through Tuesday. Crews are in the area installing a storm drain system in conjunction with a Silver Lake Water District project. A detour route will be posted for the closure of 41st Avenue SE.
In addition, a lane closure on Seattle Hill Road at 132nd Street SE. will end Oct. 18.
