Gladys and Melvin Larson of Lynnwood will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 14.
The couple met in Knettleshall, England, during WWII, and were married in St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Thetford. A U.S. Air Force family, they lived in various parts of the world and the U.S. They moved to Lynnwood from Anderson Air Force Base, Guam, in 1964. Gladys retired from City Bank. Mel enjoyed a second career in the USPO, and as a Bishop in the Free Protestant Episcopal Church.
The Larsons have four children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
