Edmonds

Marine Corps Pvt. Aaron N. Draper, son of Cathleen and Henry Draper of Edmonds, recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Calif. Draper is a 2002 graduate of Edmonds-Woodway High School.

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Benjamin M. Fraser has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Fraser, son of Donald Fraser and Linda Matthews of Edmonds, is a 1999 graduate of Kamiak High School in Mukilteo. He received an associate degree in 2002 from Edmonds Community College.

Mill Creek/Bothell

Navy Airman Ryan J. Brewer recently completed a nine-month deployment at sea aboard the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), while providing support for Operations Southern Watch (OSW), Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Brewer, the 20-year-old son of Matthew Brewer of Bothell, is an aviation support equipment technician with the air department.

Marine Corps Pvt. Bryce Victor Lynn, son of Nora and Bruce Lynn of Bothell, recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Calif. Lynn is a 2001 graduate of Bothell High School.

Army Sgt. Patrick J. Moody has arrived at the U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to serve as a member of Joint Task Force-GTMO in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Joint Task Force members are responsible for operating, maintaining and securing detention facilities which confine Al-Qaeda and Taliban operative forces, and other suspected terrorists who come under U.S. control. Moody is a military policeman with eight years of military service. The sergeant is the son of Walt and Deanne Moody of Bothell and is a 1989 graduate of Lynnwood High School.
