Six weeks before the August primary and 19 weeks before the November general election, six candidates for three positions in the 1st Legislative District have raised $184,764 and spent $66,249.
The biggest money is in the state Senate race in which Democratic challenger Guy Palumbo has raised $67,633 and spent $13,203, compared to Democratic incumbent Rosemary McAuliffe’s $28,488 raised and $13,883 spent, and Republican challenger Dawn McCravy’s $26,304 raised and $7,128 spent.
Incumbent Democratic state Rep. Derek Stanford has raised $22,936 and spent $7,907, compared to Republican challenger Sandra Guinnn’s $3,290 raised and $1,290 spent. Neither Democratic challenger Greg Rankrich nor Republican challenger Brian Travis reports any fundraising or spending.
Democratic incumbent Rep. Luis Moscoso has raised $36,114 and spent $22,838. Republican Mark Davies, who fell short in gathering signatures to qualify for the ballot as the sole opponent to Moscoso but may run as a write-in candidate, reports no fundraising or spending.
The district includes Brier, most of Mountlake Terrace, Bothell, part of Kirkland, unincorporated areas of King County between Bothell and Kirkland and unincorporated areas of Snohomish County north and east of Bothell.
