The 2008 Seattle Mariners Caravan returns to the Puget Sound area when it rolls into Lynnwood Jan. 23 for a free public autograph session at the Seattle Mariners Team Store at Alderwood mall with Mike Morse and Mariners broadcaster Dave Sims.
The free autograph session at the Mariners Team Store at Alderwood Mall is from 4:15-5:45 p.m. Autograph appearances are open to the general public. Attendees receive a complimentary Mariners 2008 schedule poster, autographs, photos with the Mariner Moose, and the chance to win great prizes.
Morse, an infielder/outfielder, has spent parts of the last three seasons at the Major League level with the Mariners. He has a .302 Major League batting average. After his recall to Seattle on Sept. 1, Morse recorded hits in his first six games and reached base safely in his first seven games with a plate appearance. Morse plays first base, third base, shortstop and right field.
Sims is entering his second season as a member of the Mariners radio and TV broadcast team. Sims is familiar to sports fans across the country for calling Major League Baseball and college basketball games for ESPN.
Over a three-week period, the Caravan will make stops in 21 communities across the Pacific Northwest from Portland to Vancouver, B.C., Bremerton to Spokane, and points in between.
