The eighth annual Meadowdale High School Dance Team Invitational is set for 1 p.m. Feb. 22 in the school’s gym. Twenty-two dance and drill teams from across the state are scheduled to attend the event. The competition culminates in a drill down and awards ceremony. Meadowdale will be performing an exhibition routine. The team performed at the halftime shows at the UW men’s basketball and Seattle SuperSonics games this year. The Mavericks took first place at last year’s state competition for the third straight season. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
