Army Pvt. Matthew H. Reichel has graduated from the light-wheel vehicle mechanic advanced individual training (AIT) course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Reichel is the son of Carrie and Steven Reichel of Bothell and is a 2001 graduate of Juanita High School in Kirkland.
Air Force Airman Jordan Slocum has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Nancy and David Seets of Bothell and Michael and Dana Slocum of California.
Air Force Airman Douglas H. Packard Jr. has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Packard is the son of Debbie McBrayer of Mountlake Terrace and Douglas Packard Sr. of Florida. He is a 1998 graduate of Henry M. Jackson High School.
Army Reserve Pvt. Amy M. Markytan has graduated from basic military training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo. Markytan is the daughter of Debra Markytan of Bothell, and Victor Markytan of California. She graduated in 2002 from Woodinville High School.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jeremy S. Van Nuys has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Steve Van Nuys of Mill Creek. Van Nuys is a 2000 graduate of the Shoreline Christian School.
