The Mountlake Terrace City Council has named City Planning Commissioner Bryan Wahl to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Michele Robles.

The other six council members voted unanimously Tuesday, Aug. 14, to appoint Wahl, one of nine applicants, to replace Robles, who resigned in late June.

The appointment is good through the 2013 election when Wahl would have to run for the last two years of the four-year term that Robles won in 2011.

Wahl has served on the Planning Commission for the past 14 years and has been vice chairman since 2004.

Wahl is a partner for Government Affairs Strategies LLC, a company that develops public policy strategies.
