Cinebarre, a theater/restaurant in Mountlake Terrace, gets into the Halloween spirit with a pumpkin carving contest this weekend.

The free contest starts at 9 p.m., Oct. 30, and is open to the first 10 entrants. Pumpkins and tools will be provided by Cinebarre. The grand prize will be 26 complimentary VIP movie passes. Second place will receive 10 complimentary standard movie passes and third will receive four complimentary standard movie passes.

After the contest is a free midnight showing of George A. Romero’s horror classic, “Night of the Living Dead.” Movie-goers are encouraged to put on their best zombie attire.

Cinebarre is located at 6009 244th St. SW, Mountlake Terrace.

On Halloween, the Edmonds Historical Museum transforms into the “Haunted Museum”; bring the kids down to Edmonds for old-fashion fun and a trip through the museum.

The Haunted Museum is open from 4-7 p.m., Oct. 31, at 118 Fifth Ave. N, Edmonds.
