Mountlake Terrace’s Kori Seidlitz came to play on March 31, just ask the Shorewood players. Seidlitz no-hit the Thunderbirds, leading her team to an 8-0 Western Conference South Division softball victory.

“I would say she was in command from the opening pitch,” Mountlake Terrace coach Kim Stewart said. “Anybody that did make contact, our defense took care of it.”

Not many did make contact, Seidlitz struck out 15 batters and faced just one hitter more than the minimum, hitting a Thunderbird batter with a pitch.

“I just wish she wouldn’t have hit that one batter. She would have had a perfect game,” Stewart said.

Mountlake Terrace bounced back from a tough loss to Lynnwood last week with two wins this week. Seidlitz went the distance in both games, giving up two hits on Monday and throwing the no-hitter Tuesday.

“We kind of made a pact this week that we were going to come out ready to play both games,” Stewart said.
