Muy mas at Tacos Guaymas

My friend Rachel and I are fanatical about Mexican food. We would eat it morning, noon and night if our waistlines could handle it. So when we heard about a new Mexican restaurant in Lynnwood, we had to check it out.

With the grand opening only two months back, Tacos Guaymas, part of a small local restaurant chain, has already started to establish itself in Lynnwood as a quaint Mexican restaurant with excellent food.

Upon our entrance, Rachel and I were immediately greeted by friendly employees. After we had decided on our dinner choices, we ordered at the counter and took a seat at one of the booths.

Before we even sat down, the food was brought to our table fresh, hot and right off the grill. Rachel ordered a huge chicken quesadilla while I opted for a larger-than-life wet burrito and we split an order of warm tortilla chips.

The over-sized quesadilla was filled with tender chicken and smothered in cheese. The wet burrito was filled with chicken, rice, beans, cheese and their famous red sauce. Both meals were melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

Though we were more than satisfied with our choices, Tacos Guaymas also offers options such as tacos, enchiladas, nachos and other traditional Mexican favorites and specialty platters.

Perhaps my favorite part of the restaurant was the extensive salsa bar, unlike one that I have ever seen before. From green to red, hot to mild and chunky to smooth, the salsa bar featured every kind of salsa one could ever ask for. Though we didn’t even come close to finishing our basket of chips, Rachel and I did try almost every kind of salsa — we were amazed!

Easily matching the quality of their food is the atmosphere of Taco Guaymas. The restaurant is bright, clean and very spacious. They use only fresh ingredients and your meal is cooked right before your eyes.

One of my favorite aspects of Tacos Guaymas is the over-sized food portions. Even the hungriest patrons will leave with a full belly, or have leftovers for the next day.

Taco Guaymas also offers a drive-through window and kids menu.

So whether you need a bite to eat after the game or are going on a date, Taco Guaynos is the perfect place to satisfy your stomach.
