Despite a sluggish economy and nationally publicized problems in the banking industry, Banner Bank’s new downtown Everett offices opened in October after months of construction.
The new Everett Colby Branch at the corner of Colby Ave. and 26th St. will be home to Banner Bank’s Alderwood Commercial Banking Center.
The manager of the branch is Sue Gammell, who was recently promoted to vice president. The Alderwood Banking Center will be managed by Vice President John Hulbert Jr.
Banner Bank’s new facility also offers a 24 hour ATM that accepts deposits, a night drop for after-hour deposits, safe deposit boxes, a self-service coin counter, and an inviting customer lounge that includes a plasma TV, beverages and a selection of reading materials.

Gammell has over 20 years of financial experience and most recently served as branch manager for the Banner Bank Evergreen Way branch. She will continue to work in that capacity and will divide her time managing both Everett branches. Prior to joining Banner Bank in 2004, Gammell was Assistant Vice President and District Manager for EverTrust Bank.
In 2006 she received Banner Bank’s “Doing the Right Thing” award for her involvement in her community and in 2007 she was recognized as a Banner’s Best award winner.
Gammell currently serves on the Board of Directors of Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County.
