Larry Byers of Mukilteo is the new president of Rotary Club of Everett. He will be serving from July 2008 through June 2009. Byers is director of technical services for Puget Sound Kidney Centers in Everett. A Rotary member since 1996, Byers will lead the club’s 200 members as they provide community and international service. He has held numerous leadership positions within Rotary and was selected as the club’s Rotarian of the Year in 2003/2004. He has also been instrumental in the promotion of the club’s international activities, with an emphasis on group study exchange and international service, including serving as a Rotary volunteer to India in 2007. He takes over the Rotary presidency from Roy Yates, senior vice president and manager of private banking at Frontier Bank.
Also inducted were vice president Julie Frauenholtz, a practice consultant with Washington State Division of Children and Family Services; president-elect Kevin Morris, Western Washington Medical Group’s Cascade Podiatry; presidential nominee, Randy Hansen, PSG Washington, Inc.; past president, Roy Yates; as treasurer; Brad Seltzer of Langabeer, McKernan, Burnett &Co.; historian, Larry O’Donnell, retired; and secretary, Bill Dobler, retired.
New to the board of directors are Kim Bedier, Global Spectrum/Comcast Arena; Judge George Bowden, Snohomish County Superior Court; Sherrill Dryden, Everett Performing Arts Center; Maddy Metzger-Utt, Greater Everett Community Foundation; and Kerry Triboulet, Special Interest Auto Body. Continuing on the board are Linnea Covington, Structural Design Associates; Bob Dobler, Gamut360 Holdings, LLC; and Deborah Wright, City of Everett.
