The planting event is part of Mill Creek’s North Creek Restoration and Habitat Enhancement project and the first of its kind in Mill Creek. It is designed to provide shade and a buffer for North Creek, which is home to chinook, coho and sockeye salmon and coastal cutthroat trout.

Planting takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, along North Creek behind Mill Creek City Hall, 15728 Main St. To sign up, visit www.cityofmillcreek.com or call Marci Chew at 425-921-5709.
