Mill Creek is slated to get a new, three-building office park in the city’s south end.
All that’s needed is City Council approval, which should come within the next two weeks.
The proposed office park is located on the east side of 9th Avenue SE south of 164th Street SE. Penny Creek forms the property’s northern boundary. The project is in an area zoned for such development.
The project will add 31,000 square feet of new office space to Mill Creek, and will feature a parking lot for 82 vehicles. The developed part is only approximately 40 percent of the 4.64 acre site, according to city planning department documents.
Part of the development will also include restoration of 1,800 square feet of wetlands by removing invasive plants and replacing them with native ones.
Plans for the site were approved by the Planning Commission March 18 following a public hearing at which no public comment was received.
The City Council will discuss the project at its next study session, set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 6. A final Council vote is scheduled for April 13, according to city planner Christi Amrine.
