The Edmonds School Board unanimously voted to approve the district’s North Road property as the site for the future Lynnwood High School at its May 10 meeting.
The property, located in the vicinity of North Road and 184th Street SW, is currently under review by district staff and the design team, led by Bassetti Architects. The school board has established that the construction of a new Lynnwood High School is the highest construction priority of the district.
As the design team prepares to begin schematic design, the school district will concentrate on obtaining funding for the project. It is estimated that the new high school will cost $86 million to relocate and rebuild.
Construction will not begin until funding is secured.
